Patricia Bal has over fifteen years of experience in managing and leading teams working in high-intensity environments. She was selected as the first female in ninety-five years to be awarded a Senate seat in the Royal Dutch Naval Midshipman Corps. During her career as a naval officer, she served on a frigate in Operation Enduring Freedom in the waters around Iraq and engaged in hostile maneuvers. She was directly responsible for organizing the logistics of two Royal Marine Battalions commissioned in Iraq.
Patricia has a bachelor’s degree in business from the Dutch Royal Naval Academy and a master of management degree from the University of NSW.
Patricia specializes in leadership, creating high-performing teams and coaching senior women executives.
She works with corporate clients such as Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, Australian Human Rights Commission, STW, O’Brien Glass and CBA.
Patricia is currently writing a book on discrimination and sexual harassment in the defence forces and issues that women face as they go into senior leadership levels in corporate life. The book will be released in 2015.
Patricia lives in the US with her husband and two young children.
